THREE LITTLE WORDS by Ashley Rhodes-Courter

In Three Little Words, Ashley Rhodes-Courter retells the horrors of her childhood in the foster care system in Florida. Her story, though a heartbreaking one, eventually morphs into one of hope.

From reading this book, I learned from one girl's story that it is possible, through hard work and determination, to make something good out of bad circumstances. It also gives an eye opening insight into the American foster care system.

Rhodes-Courter writes in an excellent and enjoyable style.

Recommended for grades 11-12 and adults.
