HOPE WAS HERE by Joan Bauer

This book tells the story of Hope, formerly named "Tulip," and her Aunt Addie as they move to Wisconsin to work at a restaurant in a small town called Mulhoney. Their kind-hearted boss, G.T., and the friendly cook, Braverman, along with the others she meets, help Hope feel at home. Hope learns to trust others more willingly and to open herself up more. She also settles unresolved issues regarding the father she never met.

An enjoyable read.

Recommended for all teens.
