This story is about the lack of the main character's (author Jack Gantos) plan near then end of high school. It's a common situation and one that my not work out the best without a wake-up call or a degree of good luck. It works out the worst in Gantos's case, inside, however, is a good kid who just wants to make it in life.I think this story is easy to relate to, and something that can happen to us. I learned that if you want to do something, always plan early.
