Chan Shealy's got most things going right in her life -- she's got straight A's, a shot at the regional majorette championship in baton twirling and best best girlfriend a girl could wish for. But after the football quarterback spreads a vicious lie about her and the whole school decides she's too trashy for words, Chan begins to wonder if the only place she will find love is online. She is careful. She follows all of her parents rules -- mostly. But then a girl has to be on her own at some point, and even though her gut is telling her to be careful she ignores it until it's too late. From the moment Chan gets online and meets Paul, even I knew something bad was going to happen -- the guy she was talking to online almost kidnaps her sister.
This was a really great book that keeps you at the edge of your seat until the very end. It was a romantic book about a girl who just wanted to be loved, but reminded readers that the Internet can be a dangerous place. It also warns us to be careful about what we say because one rumor started for fun can ruin another person's life.
